Its June.... Already?!
Everyone says it... How fast the year is going and I couldn't agree more right now! Its getting to be yet another busy month here at the farm as the first cut of Silage started the other day. And with the lighter nights here, it means Jack has no excuse to finish early!
As for me, well I am always keeping myself busy in the studio. If you've been following me through Facebook or Instagram I think you're pretty up to date on whats been happening. Working through commission work, Doing my own paintings. Getting sorted for a few art festivals and last week heading down to Stoke on Trent for the next chapter in my little business! Yes its been quite busy and I love it.
Its only a few short weeks until the Alnmouth Arts Festival. I am getting organised with ne paintings, framing and mounting new prints and restocking all my products in preparation. This is a complete first for me and I am very much looking forward to it. I will be located at Pan Leazes house alongside Polly Ord, who is also a painter, and Alex Chylak who makes items out of stoned clay. The Festuval is 17th - 18th June from 10am - 5pm so if you're in the area those days please come and say a big hello! You may find something you like while you're there.
With the priority to Alnmouth Arts Festival last week I ended up at Stoke on Trent for the day, meeting Jason from Heraldic Pottery for potential products to add to my ever growing business. Not only did we discuss the new venture but I also had a fantastic tour of the Warehouse and meet the fantastic team who work so hard to make the products. Hopefully there will be something to show you all in the next coming weeks featuring these four characters.
Most of you have suggested a few ideas for potentially more products and more designs in the future. If you like my work and feel that maybe their was something missing please feel free to shout out and message me. I love market research and suggestions it keeps me on the right path on what you guys would like to see simply go to my "contact" page and send me a message.
And ending the end of May with another boost in my business. Bank Holiday Monday in Northumberland means only one thing, the Northumberland County Show where I have regularly competed the past few years. This year I was fortunate to be asked to sponsor the Champion of Champions! The Champion went to the Messr Jenkinsons Home-bred Limousin Cow "Glittered" a massive well done to them. I know how hard you must've worked to get the top of such a prestigious show, can't wait to work on their portrait in the next few months.
With that ending one busy but fantastic month its time to get cracking with more work and see what June brings!
